In the 1980s, the military dictatorship in Brazil built the largest hydroelectric dam in the Amazon in the city of Tucuruí in the state of Pará. 40 years later, residents of the Caraipé River within the plant's lake remain without electricity in their homes since then. A filmmaker and crew explore their decision to stay despite the hardships, aiming to uncover their perspectives.
